Job Title: Lead Systems Analyst

Location: Portland, OR (PDX Office)

The Lead Systems Analyst had advanced knowledge of the functions and applications of information systems and the software development life cycle. The candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in the implementation, maintenance and support of information systems. Will serve as liaison between the business and IT group to evaluate and design computer systems.

What You’ll Do:

Act as key liaison between the stakeholders and developers to ensure that requirements are being met
Resolve any conflicts with requirements between the business and technology groups
Troubleshoot application and implementation issues by taking ownership of questions, researching application issues and providing appropriate feedback and solutions
Develops instructions for software engineers by creating technical design specifications from product requirements that may include system narratives, file layouts, screen layouts, report layouts, and program narratives
Ensures progress for user requests by managing internal project boards including but not limited to KANBAN and sprint boards
Prepares project estimates by breaking down functional requirements into functional tasks.
Maintains delivered solutions by supporting configuration for existing applications; implementing improvements
Communicates effectively by meaningful and articulate verbal discussion create clear and coherent written material
Verifies business system solutions by creating test plans and scripts where applicable
May provide functional direction to other System Analysts
Contributes to organization success by responding to requests; helping others accomplish results; ongoing professional development; upholding a high customer service ideal

What You’ll Need:

BA/BS in computer science, information technology, business or related area of study preferred
Five or more years of in-depth IT experience in application implementation and support, and experience with the software development life cycle
Experience and proficiency with Altlassian JIRA project management tool
Familiarity with technical tools and languages including C++, Perl, Java, and Postgres
