We are seeking Engineering Technicians for full-time contract positions on 1st and 2nd shift operations to support the production of medical diagnostic devices. The Engineer Technician will participate as required within Research and Development on various engineering efforts for new product development. Responsible for performing various technical tasks on a variety of R&D projects as assigned by engineering. This position includes detailed assembly, operation of various equipment and machinery, and mechanical and electrical testing.
Perform experiments and tests on a variety of projects as assigned by engineering.
Participate as required within R&D on various engineering efforts for new product development.
Troubleshoot and suggest creative solutions to design and testing issues.
Coordinate and execute building of prototypes/products per engineering design and instruction as required.
Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
Work with engineering on build/test fixturing.
Perform assembly and testing of small tubing components by adhesive bonding, or heat reflowing.
Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages and possibly ability to analyze data using basic statistics.
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering. Entry level to up to three (3) years of engineering work experience in a related field or a suitable combination of experience and education relative to the position with assembly or testing of parts (FDA/GMP device manufacturing a plus). Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes and lab equipment will be considered to include experience with laser cutting, electro polishing, coil winding and braiding as examples. Must have great dexterity and nimble hands.
