This position can be filled at either the Actuarial Analyst II or Actuarial III level, per the descriptions below.

Actuarial Analyst II

Completes projects and performs complex actuarial studies. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Obtains, verifies, analyzes and models data including risk reporting and forecasting. Calculates monthly claims liability reserves, develops merit rating factors and prepares Department of Insurance annual statement exhibits.

Actuarial Analyst III

Completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives. Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists. Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.

Qualifications
Actuarial Analyst II

Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exams; at least 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Actuarial Analyst III

Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
